Rakeen typeface was build based on the Geometric Kufi (square) with adding some characteristics inspired by the Almushafi scrip.
Rakeen has 8 main transverse lines (8 heights) with specific thicknesses, a fixed pen angle and upper-and-lower lines that fill the space between the parts of the letters to give a unique connected geometric look.
The typeface was named as Rakeen, in reference to the Arabic meaning of the word that conveys sobriety and steadiness.
